It was already 8.00am and I could hear all the steps and movements in my parent's room. "Yes! they were obviously getting ready for work. I knew I couldn't just wait until they returned home so I prepared myself to break the latest News to them. It took several more hours for my parents to get out of the room. I guess they were discussing some court case or so. Mummy was the first to come out, then Dad. I hurriedly stepped forward. " Mum, dad, we need to talk" I said.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks.
