' YES OR NO'              (Before the Wedding Bells)                       LET'S  TALK                              with              E PLUS The Storyteller .            (  Created by E PLUS The Storyteller) . This weekend has been very hectic for me, not because I have been working o! Not at all! To the contrary I have been on my annual leave, so I have had time to rest, a bit. However, mentally I am drained. My name is Atinuke, I am a very hardworking lady, and quite focused, so to a large extent I can confidently say that I know what I want, but I can't say same when it comes to relationship. At this point, I am at a cross road! And quite desperate for a way out! Hmmm! I met Williams at a friend's birthday party, and it wasn't even love at first sight for me, though I couldn't help but notice his height, and charismatic disposition. After few drinks, and some snacks, he walked up to me with the most charming smile. We exchanged p

SUICIDE IS NOT AN OPTION.

SUICIDE... NOT EVEN AN OPTION!          Written by E PLUS The Storyteller .     Shani took a piece of cake, and dropped the rest, amidst deep thoughts. She looked quite distant, depressed and disconnected. Her mind began to run, riots. She began to ponder, thus: How can I continue like this? See, my mates! Everyone is driving the latest car, yet I have not even secured a job! Na wa o! And to think that I was the brightest in school. I think I might just end it all! Omad stood before the mirror, and stared at his reflection for a very long time, then he broke down with his face buried in both hands. He was torn in between, all his years of expectation for greener pastures were all gone. He began to contemplate suicide. " I will just end it all! There is no point! " He echoed. _____________________________ It's alarming to know how 'suicidal', people are becoming, daily. Hmmm.. almost looking like a readily available option when things go south! However, I have a

THE ACT IS IN THE OIL (A Couple's Love Story.) Written by E PLUS The Storyteller. H e had returned home quite late, so I felt it was only normal for him to want to rush to bed. It was at that point I felt the nudge to give him a little massage, at least something that would soothe his nerves, quickly I reached out for the oil, and alas! It wasn't there. Then I began to ponder over where I must have  possibly left it(actually it's been over six months I really used that oil). I searched the entire house, and couldn't find it, I was almost certain that I kept it on the shelf. After virtually an hour, I returned to the room, and bumped into my husband who was laughing like a school boy, over the phone. "Ahan! What's happening?" I said to myself, actually with no intention of interrupting the call. While I stood in front of my husband, he had hardly noticed me, he was drowned in dexterity, with a very contentful disposition, and to think he was knocked out,

WHERE IS MY FIRST LOVE?           (The tale of a child... By E PLUS the storyteller.)     At first, she was quite excited about the announcement of my arrival. I could feel the touch of love every time she rubbed her protruding belly! I moved joyfully all through the nine months she carried me gracefully. As soon as I arrived, it was a very elaborate party thrown in my honour. "Wow!" I marveled.   It felt so good to be received warmly. Then months after, I began to search for this love! Now, she would quickly make my meal and drop me off with another woman who I am beginning to see more often than I see her. I never have a moment with my dad! In fact I  think I don't have one. Suddenly the music has stopped for me. While I see other kids have fun with their parents, I am left to just imagine it. My only companion is my teddy bear and all he does is just stare at me with pity cos he knows that I'm now, an abandoned project! Can

YES TO YOUR WILL .. by E PLUS The Storyteller. She stood over the bridge and as every car passed by, she counted every second.  More determined than ever, she wanted to end it all, if she could only jump down fast from the bridge before anyone else would see her, she pondered.  One more time, she looked around, slowly she moved towards the edge of the bridge and placed her right leg forward. As soon as she was about to jump, She noticed a beggar just behind the bridge who was staring at her. "What are you looking at!?" She yelled, as she had become impatient. The beggar smiled and said: "I saw you and immediately recognized you, so I came to thank you for yesterday, your coin saved my life!" The beggar exclaimed.   Then she realized it was the same Beggar whom she had thrown her last coin to, as she walked pass the bridge the previous Day, in a hurry to work. "You saved my life!"The beggar exclaimed.   Imme

THE STREET LIFE(Focus on Child Labour) on LET'S TALK ..Created by E PLUS The Storyteller.

This is Sii, a child with dreams, goals and ambitions, a child who looks forward to a bright future, but with the prevailing reality, it all seems like a far cry. With barely any support from anywhere or anyone, his poor parents can hardly afford three square meals a day, and even to secure a meal is majorly dependent on how hard he husles, hawking his wares, from street to street. While other kids prepare for school, Sii would have to wake up early enough to catch the first bus heading for the market Square, by so doing he would stand a chance of getting a free seat, at the extension. This continues to be a regular routine, pending when things look up. Occasionally, Sii would catch up with some kids along the pathway, as they discuss the lessons they had been taught in school. He would pay close attention to see if he could learn one or two. Anytime Sii returns home, he begins to ponder over the new words he has learnt, as he continues to drea

HOW DO YOU TELL YOUR STORY?

How do you tell your story?                                     By                    E PLUS The Storyteller Knowledge will give you exposure Wisdom will give you insight Understanding will give you foresight Curiousity will lead you to all.. As a Creative Writing Skills, Visual Art, Blogging, Voice-over, and Storytelling Coach and a psycholinguist, my discoveries about  how people perceive information is quite an eye opener. There are different categories of people who use information differently. Category A use information as an escape route for survival.. Category B,  use information as a tool for power and influence, Category C, use information as a Status marker. Category D, use information to satisfy their inquisitive disposition. Question: Where are the meeting points?                   When do we bridge the gap between useful information and potentially toxic information?         How much of your mind are you exposing to informatio
