 "So, George did not want to take up responsibility for his own child?but I thought he loved her!" I said, (more confused).
"Well, that's the mystery. Zainab was so desperate to be with him so she plotted her strategy on you" He continued. I kept still for a while, heart broken. I blamed myself for not being extra careful with Zainab's daughter.
 "..Now that the child is no more, what's the point of all these? I'm still guilty?!" I exclaimed.
 "No sweet heart, you're not!" My Dad replied emphatically.
 "How?" I asked curiously.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
