Okay, why were they approaching us? I really had no idea but I became very apprehensive.
 "Madam, e be like say na us this people won come meet oo!" The Cab driver said beneath his breath. I just managed to remain calm and collected.
 "Peace be unto you sisters and brothers. I noticed you and decided that I invite you for our retreat" The man, (who appeared in a simple shirt and trouser) said with a smile on.
 At this point, I just sighed with relief.
 "I appreciate it sir but at this point, we need to get back to Town." I replied.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
