Onome's parents were very happy to see her. In a very exciting mood, Onome's mother hugged her warmly and began to sing.
  "Omo me! Doh! abeg, no vex, you hear!?" She said. Onome just nodded her head. Onome's dad starred at her for a while, short for words, he just kept smiling..
 "She said she would like some starch and owo" The Doctor said.
 "With snail" Onome added. Her parents looked at each other as if they were trying to pass a message to each other.
 "Hope no problem?" The Doctor asked curiously.
 "Nooo! Doctor! No problem." Onome's mother replied quickly. Knowing her husband quite well, Onome's mother knew her daughter's request was a tall order.
 "Onome, na starch and owo you want?" Onome's mother asked, reiterating her request.
 "Yes ma" She replied..
 "Okay..papa Onome, make I see you for outside." Onome's mother said emphatically.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
