How was I to explain it, of course I did not want to give myself out just like that! I wouldn't have been here in the first place, if not for Kunle. "Just my style" I replied(or more like, I lied). The Police Boss just smiled. I think he actually did not believe me. "Hungry?" He asked. "Yes" I replied without even thinking. "Okay, we will take care of that but first you have to take a shower." He responded. Can you imagine? A shower at the police station?

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks.
