Chief continued laughing hysterically as Abigail shrouded out of despair.
Dele knew she had not taken his News very well.
"I'm so sorry, please." Dele said for the umpteenth time.
Abigail just looked at Dele and tried to snap out of her shock.
Chief's phone suddenly rang out and he received the girl.
Few minutes later, he stood to leave.
"em.. Abigail, I'm leaving now. My labourers need more money for cement!...Mr Doctor, Ekuse o!(Well-done o!)..." Chief said as headed for the Door.
Abigail watched Chief frantically.
"Ahan! But Chief, you have not dropped the money." Abigail lamented.
Chief turned to Abigail.
"...but you just heard the Doctor. He said they made. Mistake, abi Doctor?" Chief replied.
"Actually, yes..and I brought the new result." Dele replied.
Abigail became more curious.
"Okay..can we see it, then? What does it say?" Abigail probed further.
Dele brought out an envelope from his pocket.
Abigail's heart pounded.
