"Oga! Wait! Wait!" The other police man shouted as he tagged along. He could hardly catch up as the other kept increasing his pace until he finally came to a halt close to a restaurant.
"Sir, I was trying to tell you something!" He said as he tried catching his breath.
"You are not serious oo! You saw those boys would have seen us with this bag and you were just standing there moping! Na wa for you oo!" The other Inspector exclaimed.
"Sorry sir. I thought we were still investigating oo!..so what about the evidence?" He asked further
 "Which evidence again? Atink say wetin check everywhere, we no see any evidence? No be so?" The other officer asked cynically, clenching to the bag like his life depended on it! 
"Okay oo! If you say so." The First police replied reluctantly.
"Meanwhile, let us branch and take some pepper soup or...are you not hungry?" The other officer asked as he beckoned towards the restaurant.
"Ah!! Oga, I dey hungry well well oo!" The first officer replied, more cheerfully this time and they both made their way in.

      That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
