   By now, virtually everyone had stepped out of their houses to find out what was happening as the truck drivers made their address.
 Ochuko woke up with a start by the noise outside. He joined the rest too. He had noticed some men dressed in overall who were making some address.
 He pushed his way through the increasing crowd and made his way forward.
  "So, make una no fear. Na the Government send us." Said one of the men who appeared like service men. "The only thing be say, in one week time, we go come renovate this place make e fine well well.
We go build fine fine companies, then pay una money." The man continued. The people began to murmur while some exclaimed.
 " Wait o! Oga! Na wetin go come happen to our house?" A man in the crowd asked.
 Ochuko, like everyone else, paid rapt attention in anticipation of  a response from the man who had just addressed them.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
