Abigail remained still for a while as she watched the car parked in front of the house. Few seconds later, she realized, that she had been right. It was Chief! He stepped out of the car.
Abigail wondered why he had not called her before getting to the house. Chief noticed she was standing just outside.
" Abigail baby, how are you ? This one that you are looking at me like this, are you not happy to see me?" He said cheerfully.
Abigail, snapped out of her long stare immediately.
"em..not that at all..I did not hear you driving in, that's why I'm quite surprised." Abigail said as she tried to put on a more cheerful look.
"Okay o! This one that you are dressed like this, na wa o! You look take away, what's the occasion nau?" Chief asked curiously as he noticed the black chiffon dress Abigail had on.
Abigail panicked as she thought of what to say.
Then her phone rang.
She looked at it and noticed it was Dele!
Chief waited patiently as he anticipated her response.
