             BEAUTY FOR ASHES!
                             
          The restaurant was filled with the irristable  aroma of goat meat peppersoup mixed with the strongest spice you can ever get. The two policemen had hardly settled down when a young slim lady walked up to them.
   "Oga, na wetin una go chop o!? We get correct correct peppersoup. Goat meat dey, head, Belle, middle, neck, waist, all of dem, we get am." She said with a smile on.
 Both men stared at each other with some kind of inquiry gesture, apparently trying to make up their mind.   
        "Okay, bring all of them." The First Police man replied.
        "Okay sir." The lady said and hastily headed for the inner kitchen. The second officer took a look at the other, quite astonished. "Ah han! Did you say she should bring all?" He asked curiously. For a moment, there was no response.
       "See, stop asking foolish questions, okay? If we even decide to lift three bundles of notes from this money, ehn? No one would notice! So relax!" responded the other officer as he clenched tightly to the bag. 
           "Hmmm! Okay oo...if you say so.." The first officer resorted.
Minutes later, the young lady returned with a tray of plates of peppersoup. Carefully, she placed them on the table one after the other." Oga, na dem the peppersoup be dis." She said while still standing.
  "Okay, em...do you have beer?" The other officer asked.
   "Yes, we get all the brand for here." She replied.
   "Okay...give us four bottles for a start." He responded.
     "Okay sir." The lady said and headed off . 
Both officers soon began to consume their meal. No sooner had they started when a group of boys entered the restaurant. They moved towards the opposite direction and all took a seat.
Looking all agitated they began to converse.
      "So, Wetin you dey tell me be say, you no see the money?" One of them (who appeared to be their leader)asked angrily.
 Soon enough, the two officers recognized the two boys who had appeared at the site of their investigation, where they had found the money!.

      That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks.
