Ochuko and his siblings left the hospital and headed for home. Hopefully, they had planned to make up with whatever change was left with Mama Kemute. He headed straight for her house and gently he knocked at the door. While waiting for response, Ochuko made an overview of the entire place. He observed many movements were in progress and knew right away that it wasn't unconnected with the latest development in the community. He wondered how much time was left before the Government would completely take over.
"Ahan! Ochuko! Where una go since!?"Mama Kemute exclaimed as she stepped out of the house, holding a broom on one hand, apparently she had been engaged in some cleaning up.
Quickly, Ochuko snapped out of his thought.
"Good Afternoon ma..em...we go somewhere.." Ochuko said, a little hesitant.
"Eh..ehn! Come oo..Na true I dey hear so ? Say your mama dey police station since?" She asked curiously. Ochuko paused for a while.
"Em...we dey solve something." He replied.
"Heyyy! Ochuko! You no be better person! So, your Mama dey Wahala and you know say we close, you no fit tell me!? Ah!!! Ochuko oooo!" She said dramatically.  By now, Ochuko was short of words. He tried to come up with a more convincing response but Mama Kenute's dramatic gesture had put him on a spot. "Abeg no vex. I just forget." He said, hoping that would pull through.
"So, na which time she go come back?" She continued as she quickly used the edge of her wrapper to clean off the trickle of sweat dripping down her forehead.
Ochuko remained silent

      That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks.
