Onome's uncle took a frantic look at her, like he was contemplating to respond.
  "Matthew!" He called out to the young lad. Hurriedly, he answered.
 "Sir!" He exclaimed.
 "Show her the rest room." He said.
  "Okay sir." He responded as he beckoned on her to follow him.
    Onome remained in the rest room for a while. Her heart pounded with anxiety. She tried to figure out the best way she could present the family's predicament but was short of ideas.
 "Is everything okay?" A voice said behind the door.
  "Em.....yes! I'm okay sir." Onome replied nervously realizing it was her uncle's voice.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
