A man dressed in blue stepped out of the car. At first he hesitated for a while and appeared like he was lost.
He looked around for a while and then, he noticed Onome was starting at him.
 He moved towards her direction.
 "Hello!" He greeted.
 "Good evening sir" Onome replied. Out of his pocket, the young man brought out a piece of paper and called out an address.
 "Please is this number 9, Iye street?" He asked.
 "Hmm. This is Iye street." Onome answered immediately.
The man had a smile on.
 "Please give this to your dad when he returns." The man said as he handed a brown envelope to Onome.
 "Okay sir." Onome replied. The young man entered the car and drove off.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
