At lunch time, Esther remained in the office whilst she was scribbling through the pages of an old magazine, she had opted out of having lunch in one of her favourite spots- FOODIE DELIGHT. Esther wasn't just in the mood. 

"Somebody is definitely avoiding me, and I have no clue, why." A voice echoed from behind. Immediately, Esther turned around and realised it was Princewill, and her heart skipped a bit. She remained silent.

"Oh! really? Is it the silent treatment now? Esther what's going on? Who is having your attention now? Tell me, I think I'm missing something, talk to me, please." Princewill lamented.

"Stop! This is not about anyone, Princewill. I'm not just up to any discussion for now." Esther exclaimed.

"Hmmm... So how long do I have to wait to meet your parents?" Princewill said. Then, immediately Esther burst into tears. Princewill moved closer, and brought out his handkerchief.

"I'm so sorry babe, is it something that I said? I was only teasing, I'm sorry." Princewill apologized.

"I just want to be left alone for now." Esther responded.

"Okay, cool. No problem. You know I'm not far away, right?" Princewill echoed.

"Thanks." Esther said, as she quickly pulled herself together, and returned to work. Lunch time was over.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks.
