No one owned up to the missing Chalk thus everyone served equal punishment. Not only did they spend the next one hour cutting grass, Mrs Tare had instructed everyone to wait behind for extra class. Onome still remembered the appointment she had to keep with her uncle after school and she was persistent. Alas! The entire class was done with Mrs Tare's extra class and before one could say 'Jack'. Onome hurriedly walked out of the class, leaving her friends behind. "Onome! Ah! Why the rush nau?" Ochuko shouted behind her.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks.
