See ehn, there is always that moment in everyone's life when you need to pause and ponder, then things become clearer.
It's never been about the bling bling, clean rides, perfect hairstyle, good perfume, and picture perfect plot, trust me, it's all part of the script, and every actor has got a role, well plotted and well defined. The reality is a far cry from the fiction that plays out.

There is a saying, thus: COVER GIRLS DON'T CRY, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE MAKEUPS ARE DONE?

I guess so! In a world full of unending expectations, bliss, glamour and razmatazz! The ovation is usually louder when the fire is burning and the roofs are out!, when the centre no longer holds, when the cards are crumbling down, but no one ever sees that part! No! It's the plot behind the scene, and must be kept, EXCLUSIVE!

Bliss, glamour and razmatazz! It's all a show, the heart speaks loudest when the mouth is sealed, you become the social media 'pun' in an entertainment 'chess game'. For all you know, you are a means to an end! And when the lights are out, the stage is empty, the cheers, cease, the doors are shut, you become exhausted, tired, and worn out!

Bliss, glamour and razmatazz! It's all a perfect combo, especially if the headlines must remain, perfect!

Don't Place Your Head in a Bucket.

 Okay..You think you had the worse write-up ever! Even the other kids think nothing of your written piece, it's so discouraging and as far as you're concerned, for you, writing is all over!
Well, be reminded, failed attempts are indications that at least you're trying, and before long, you will strike the 'Gold Mine.' Making no attempt at all leaves you in the most comfortable zone that speaks volumes of your complacency, and you really don't want to make such an impression!

Dust yourself, look at the mirror and envisage the inexhaustible possibilities of your dreams, vision, goals and aspirations. You've placed your head in the bucket for too long, your place lies ahead of you!

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird. The bird’s fluffy feathers gently ruffles, and his sad eyes stare at mine. ’13 YEARS OLD’ the sign on the cage says.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
