Below is a sneak peek into the Book titled, OGA BELLO. Written by E PLUS The Storyteller ✍🏿
"Awa!" Oga Bello called out!
"Sir!" She answered as she emerged from her room.
"What are you doing?" Oga Bello enquired.
"Baba, I'm reading for my exams." Awa replied.
Oga Bello paused for a moment and stared at his daughter.
"Which exam?" He probed further.
"Baba...for my JAMB exams." Awa replied, and almost immediately, Oga Bello burst out, into laughter. Awa remained rooted in one spot as she watched her father laugh, hysterically.
Wait! You mean you really want to go to the university?" Oga Bello exclaimed.
"I don't understand, Baba." Awa said, quite alarmed by her father's question.
"Okay...I guess we need to have a one on one chat so you can save yourself the energy of all these reading that you have been engaging yourself in." Oga Bello said.
"Baba...I still don't get it oo!" Awa persisted.
"Don't worry, Okay? You will get it..there's no problem" Oga Bello responded as he sipped his kunu from his favorite king size cup while Awa looked on.

"Honestly speaking Asabe, I don't understand Baba... imagine how confused he left me this morning with his hysterical gesture." Awa lamented.
"Are you serious? over what, if I may ask?" Asabe reacted.
"Over me reading and preparing for my JAMB exams! Hmmm...you should have seen the look on his face!" Awa said.
"Ahn ahn! But what did he say?' Asabe probed further.
"He actually asked if I was planning on going to the university?"Awa responded.
"And what was your response?" Asabe asked.
"I told him that I didn't understand what he was implying." Awa replied.
"And what was his response?" Asaba probed further.
"He said I was going to find out." Awa replied.
"Hmmm...Awa..do you want to hear the truth?" Asabe said.
"What's that?" Awa responded.
"Well...in case you haven't noticed, the women in our family have their boundaries, and that's equally defined by certain norms and culture." Asabe said.
Awa paused for a moment, and pondered over Asabe's words for a while.
"Wait! What do you really mean?" Awa asked, curiously.
"Okay, I will tell you." Asabe continued, "from our Great grand mother up to my very self, can't you see there's a level that we have been able to attain? Do you think it's a coincidence?" Asabe said.
"Hmmm...I know...just that I was thinking that it's all a matter of time, all that will change." Awa said.
Asabe laughed, spontaneously.
"Change? Do we have a choice? See, let me tell you.....
