I could see the disbelief in Colins' eyes when I asked him for my Plantain Chips, he stared at me for a while, without uttering a word, not that I cared, anyway. Anything just to put an end to this guy's persistent disturbance, was very much welcomed.

"Are you for real? I thought you gave me the those plantain chips out of your free will?" Colins exclaimed. 

"Well.... not after you looked so helpless 🙄" I snapped. Immediately, this Colins of a guy, burst into laughter. In my head, I was like...

"Wetin dey do this one?"

"So, I can say that you were carried away by my charming disposition.

 By the way, Tope is beautiful name, your parents made a good choice" Colins continued. At this point, I had the mind of restraining him from mentioning my parents, but on the other hand, I reckoned that wasn't a bad remark.

"You know what? Forget about the Plantain Chips, I was only kidding, and maybe upset... I'm really late for work, this entire traffic wahala! Hmmm!" I lamented, and let out my frustration.

For a moment, I wasn't sure if I had become an object of ridicule, or pity because the way Colins looked at me spoke volumes. Just as I was about to react, he smiled, and responded.

"How about, I drop you off, how far or how close is your office?" He asked. Then, I thought, this guy must be joking! 

"Drop me off with what?" I asked, quite curious. He drew my attention to the opposite direction, and that was when I saw a customised Mercedes Benz that was  parked by a hall way. 

Immediately, my mind began to ponder.

"Don't tell me that's your car!" I exclaimed.

      That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks.
