TROUBLE IN PARADISE.(Part 2)

I couldn't take my mind off that blank expression Teju had on, during our conversation in the balcony, even though he kept reassuring me that all was well. For all I could perceive, there was something amidst.
Weeks later, I received an invitation to a charity fundraising event, organised by Women for Africa. I had marked my calender so it wasn't an event I planned missing.
Prior to the D Day, I had slight headache but few recommended pills here and there, fixed it. Teju, had asked the driver to drop me off, at the venue of the event, though I was few hours behind time because we had be stuck in an endless traffic. As soon as I stepped into the hall, there was a standing ovation, at this point I sincerely wished, I had not been noticed. My legs had become sour from the long hours of seating in the car.
A young lady stepped forward, and she ushered me to my seat.
"You are welcome ma, we have been expecting you, your presentation is in about twenty minutes." She said amidst a charming smile, as she handed me the program for the event.
"Thank you." I responded.
As I glanced through, I noticed the theme of the event, and I was quite impressed because I had so much to talk about.
As soon as I heard my name, I made my way to the stage amidst another standing ovation.
"You are welcome ma."
The anchor man said, as he handed over the mic.
Almost immediately, I became numb, my lips began to tremble and I perspired profusely. The next thing I could remember was that I fell to the floor.
I tried opening my eyes but couldn't, and all I could hear, was the voice of my husband.
"Doctor! Doctor! How is she? Where are you taking her to?" I could still hear my husband, lamenting.
"Sir, she will be fine, just stay around, incase we need your attention." One of the nurses said as I felt myself being rolled in to a theatre. The rest of the hours, became a very long silence!
