The Chief inspector hesitated for a while, he was taken aback by the sudden Utterance of the work men.
"Oga! Oya! Pay for our water nau..abi you say, dem don review our budget?" One of the men asked curiously. The Chief inspector nodded his head to the affirmative. "Eh hen!...oya make the change start from here nau! Make una pay for the water!" Another man added. The Chief inspector, abit embarrassed, searched through his pocket for any some notes but he soon discovered he had nothing on him!
He turned to the girl who was by this time, very anxious to get her money.
"Maybe you will follow me to see Chief inside o!" He said to the girl.
"Ah! Na wetin dey happen nau?😙..una don drink my water finish, una com dey tell me story!"The girl protested.
"Don't worry, just follow me let's see Chief, he will sort you out!" The Chief Inspector said, as he appealed to the girl.

In the neighborhood had began to retire home. The easy sound of birds filtered the entire atmosphere as children were being scolded to bed. He moved swiftly at the slightest chance he had. Locking the Door behind, he ensured no one saw him leave the compound
As he advanced towards the exit, he noticed some group of armed men pass across the adjacent street in protest. He decided to wait. Then, once the coast was clear, he literally jumped up and ran out without looking back.
