MEET THE GUEST...hosted by E PLUS the Storyteller.

Very calm and collected, is how you can describe Titi Magaret Awobode. Her deep perception of the Creative industry is very commendable. It was such an amazing time chatting with this remarkable lady, especially on her birthday! Keep on reading.
E PLUS The Storyteller: Welcome to MEET THE GUEST.. hosted by E PLUS the Storyteller.

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: Thank you so much.

E PLUS The Storyteller: It's been such a massive revolution in the media, owing to globalisation..How would you assess this!

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: Well, change is constant, and I  will say, It's not been an easy ride but, when its inevitable, we move with the tide.

E PLUS The Storyteller: How would you weigh the pros and cons of this transformation?

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: Hmmmmm...I will say the positives are high. We are able to get more information and pass more information faster than before and, to a larger audience. We have different mediums now at our disposal.  However, the major negative I see is that, there is less professionalism.  Lesser efforts at clarification, seems to be on the high.

E PLUS The Storyteller: Hmmm..and has this affected quality output?

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: Not in all cases. But in instances where professionalism has been sacrificed on the altar of being the first to do something or,  on the altar of having more followership. I will say yes!  It has affected quality.

E PLUS The Storyteller: Hmmm..very insightful. Now, let's talk about production. How can you describe the world of production?

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: Okay we need to be clear about what production, we are talking about

E PLUS The Storyteller: The media.. please.

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: Yes. Is it TV, radio or print?

E PLUS The Storyteller: All..

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: The world of production is a beautiful one. It's a whole creative circle that I love. For some, it's a stressful time; for me, it's a birthing cycle. It takes a lot of creativity and patience. It's  like nurturing a pregnancy to full term. And there is a satisfying feeling when it's over. And when there is an emptiness in the period, we wait for the next one.

E PLUS The Storyteller: Insightful! Who are your greatest influences in the Creative industry?

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: For writing it's the need to give back to society. Do my bit to make the world a better place.  For production it's the need to do something great, nice and worthy.

E PLUS The Storyteller: Awesome.. it's your birthday, today. What's that reflection that leaves you grateful?

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: Wow. Being alive for starters.  For the memories that I have over the years.  For the people I have come across in my life. And when I look back on the outpouring of love I received, I will say without God and without all those I have met in my journey through life, there is no me.

E PLUS The Storyteller: Profound! Very profound! How do you combine work and play?

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: They are one and the same for me.  I work in a creative environment and field. So I make the fun in the work or turn the fun into work

 E PLUS The Storyteller: Splendid!
I know you love to read, do you admire any author/Writer of recent? Considering the emergence of creative writers?

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: No one in particular.  But I have developed a  liking for Nigerian authors recently. Funny enough I don't hold the names of these writers but, I know and remember the stories they tell.

E PLUS The Storyteller: Great to know that Writers at home are still being appreciated. Thank you.👍

What will be your heartfelt wish for the Creative industry on this special day of yours?

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: That we should be more pro Nigeria.  A lot of negativity is out there.  But we have a very powerful tool. We have the means,  the power,  the Grace to change our narrative.  Let us use it well. No one can tell our story better than us.

E PLUS The Storyteller: Yes! Couldn't have been more apt! It was such a delight hosting you on this edition of MEET THE GUEST with E PLUS the Storyteller. The Creative team and I, wish you all the best in your endeavour. Happy Birthday and remain blessed.

Titilayo Magaret Awobode: Thank you so much for having me. And thank you for the beautiful work you are doing. Keep on breaking fronts.
