There's urgent need for professionalism to return to schools.


The educational system is anchored on integrity and nobility thus must not be short-changed for anything else. As educators and teachers, the onos lies on you to be deliberate in instilling both knowledge and strength of character in your students.The question is, how seriously are we taking this narrative?


What sort of picture are you portraying when you endorse cheating, malpractices and corruption in the school?


What sort of example are you giving to the students when you endorse BULLYING and TANTRUMS, while giving the perpetrators a pat on the back?


What type of generation do you hope to breed when you go ahead to validate the lackadaisical attitude of students towards achieving excellence while aiding and abating the 'SHORTCUT APPROACH '?


   It's time to pause and ponder over the ripple and adverse effects of your actions, especially as an educator who should know better and serve with utmost sense of commitment and dedication. 


How genuine are your intentions?


Enough of the Mediocrity!


Let's uphold and defend the integrity of the educational system which was originally built on high standards and principles. A system worthy of emulation, and a system that everyone of us can be proud of. Our children deserves sound education, let's not deprive them. 


SAY NO TO MEDIOCRITY!


SAY NO TO UNPROFESSIONALISM!


LET'S SAY YES TO QUALITY EDUCATION!

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
