 Yesterday, I say make I go market o, go buy banga and local fish wey I go use ginger my level, na im I see my old class mate dey quarrel with one truck driver. I say "Shwuuu! Wetin come dey happun?" Una know me na...as Madam Aproco, I naw fit see sumtin dey happun, make I comot my eye, so I say make I try settle the matter. As I dey waka go front, na im one okada from no where loose break com jam me o! Na so I just fall for ground, yakata with all my fish and banga! Chai! I no even know where to start from...na so evybodi, plus the truck driver and my old school class mate leave their quarrel come dey tell me "sorry o!" Infact, na for inside the truck dem carry me go hospital. My pipple, na so di gbege hapun o! Anyway I dun dey get myself small small, I go soon come with another gist. Until then, make una take care of una sef, una doh!!!!

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird.       That’s NOT my Father!       Sumayyah Oluwafunbi  Ogunsola              It’s a bleak, dark late evening accompanied by torrent of rain and the howling of the wind; the power is out. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
