   "Ahn ahn! Na who get goat?" Rebecca interrogated as soon as she entered the house with the door half open. She managed to make her way through the narrow passage and met her sister, Janet who was lying on the couch with a glass of wine.


  "Heee! See cruising o! Na wetin dey happun?" Rebecca exclaimed as she sat beside Janet. "Babe, you are back. So early? Wasn't expecting you by this time of the day o." Janet responded as she sat up.


"Yea...cleared my desk early and got permission from my boss to sort out personal stuff, jare." Rebecca said.


"Hmmm...I know...right? Sis, you need to relax o! Don't stress yourself o! I have told you that everything will be alright." Janet said.


"My dear sis... It's not easy o...with all dis wahala left and right...up and down(sighs). Anyway, back to my question...I seem to be the only one missing out here...na who get di goat wey dey for corridor, and what's with the wine?" Rebecca asked further.


"You won't believe who I saw today!" Janet exclaimed.


"You, tell me..." Rebecca said.


"Just, guess..." Janet insisted.


"You sef know say I no sabi all dis guessing tin ooo...just talk na...abeg." Rebecca appealed.


"Jay-Jay!" Janet exclaimed.


"You say? Jay...wetin? Na lie!" Rebecca echoed.


"Wait nau...let me gist you..." Janet said as she drew closer.

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird. The bird’s fluffy feathers gently ruffles, and his sad eyes stare at mine. ’13 YEARS OLD’ the sign on the cage says. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks.
