Immediately, the Policemen intervened before Abigail could let loose her fury of outburst. While Tessy held on to her, the Policemen deliberately demarcated a gap between Abigail and the other women. Apparently, tension had built up amongst the women. "Tessy! It's because of your intervention o!" Abigail lamented as they sat on the other end of the reception.
 Tinu, Sunbo and Ada laughed mischievously as they sat opposite Abigail and Tessy while staring at them. The Policemen kept close check on all women as they waited anxiously for the arrival
of the Doctor. Shortly, a nurse arrived at the reception. She carried a file and ran through its content. "..em..who is Abigail?" She enquired. This time, Abigail was lackadaisical. She refused to respond. Everyone's attention was on her however she seemed unperturbed. After waiting patiently for a response and there was none, the nurse repeated her question. "Please, I asked: "Who is Abigail?" Tessy turned to Abigail who looked absent-minded. "Abigail, your attention is called." Tessy whispered. Abigail remained silent. "Madam! It's you the nurse is addressing o!" One of the Policemen said as he called Abigail's attention. Abigail turned to him with a stern look that would frighten even the toughest person!

 Once upon a time, there lived a girl names Angela. Her Mother trained her to work hard to achieve her goals. Her Father was poor and helpless. There was a competition was held in her school on _How to Read_. Angela took first position and a Scholarship was awarded to her. Her Parents were very happy for her. Angela was a good girl. She obeyed her parents and teachers and everyone that came her way. After her secondary education, she got admission into the University of Lagos to study Mass Communication and she came out with a very good grade. She later got married to Layemi who was a medical Doctor and God blessed them with three wonderful Children, two boys (Ayomide, Johnson) and a girl (Angel.) *The End*

The Wailing Creatures  W ritten by Sumayyah Oluwafunbi Ogunsola     With a big smile on and shiny gleaming teeth plastered on my sweaty face, I step inside the dusty building with the big bold inscription: ‘ WELCOME TO THE ZOO!’  As I walk around with my black heels making a pit-pat, click-clack sound, my eager brown irises get locked in a trance with the brownish red Hawaiian bird. The bird’s fluffy feathers gently ruffles, and his sad eyes stare at mine. ’13 YEARS OLD’ the sign on the cage says. My father and I sit down in the parlour, looking at each other and sighing in disappointment, as our fun day out was ruined. I glance at our pet cat, Tata, to see that she is fast asleep.               Exasperated, my father launches himself on the sofa and says to me, “I am going to get Starbucks. Wait for me.” Worried, I respond “In the rain, and at this time, dad? You have heard how dangerous people lurk in the cloak of darkness...” He cuts me off.
